If you are incapable of allowing a person to be open with you, what exactly are you seeking? Because if deception quenches your thirst over honesty, you truly have no idea what life is all about.

It's perfectly fine to outgrow people, because it shows maturity and a willingness to change, the Lord loves that whether you know it or not. It doesn't mean you have to distance yourself from a person, they'll do that anyway once they see the growth within you.
