 If you like what you like, don't be ashamed to express those desires. Far to many people live in the closet concerning themselves with the views and opinions of others. And no this has nothing to do with sexuality, it's life in general, whether that be a companion you've been secretly engaging with, an outfit, friend, or even something of disapproval. If you are afraid of revealing the person hidden in the closet in fear of being judged, than you should do away with all those that judge you.

It's perfectly fine to outgrow people, because it shows maturity and a willingness to change, the Lord loves that whether you know it or not. It doesn't mean you have to distance yourself from a person, they'll do that anyway once they see the growth within you.
