 Why would you allow a rich person to have great influence over you? Just because a person is rich doesn't make them any smarter than the average person minus financial security. Are you aware that the Lord speaks against being influenced by such people? Proverbs (18:23) speaks for itself. Many people lack respect for poor people.

  It's mind boggling how so many people are willing to dial back their inner growth in order to fit in with people they care about. It's as if they are ashamed to reveal the inner growth within them. Why? Growth is nothing to be ashamed of, so stop hiding it. It's perfectly fine to outgrow people, because it shows maturity and a willingness to change, the Lord loves that whether you know it or not. It doesn't mean you have to distance yourself from a person, they'll do that anyway once they see the growth within you.

  Once you've discovered you have outgrown a person, do not be ashamed to reveal it. Minimizing who you really just to fit in with someone you know maturation hasn't matured, will do nothing for you internally.
